What an unusual handpotted backstamp.
Did I see you win one of these over the last couple of days?
Though I don't remember what number it was ... I'm confused....
You are amassing a fantastic handpotted collection sunny sunny

Yes, I won this one quite recently, it has only just arrived. It is strange to see no Tiki isn't it? I saw a comment on another auction that suggested if it didn't have the Tiki, then it wasn't made by Ernest, but then they didn't know that the shapes were made in 3 sizes either, so I don't know about the validity of the comment. What do you think?
My collection has grown incredibly, I hate to think how many items I have in total now.

That stamp is in the Backstamps Gallery 1948 -1955 which is around the time that Ernest worked at Crown Lynn. I haven't come across any way of identifying the maker except for the Keith Murray influence that Shufflebotham took with him to Crown Lynn.
The tiki stamp is from 1945-1955 so they are from a similar time frame.
