A grey colour glaze cup auction ..... omg!
Thought I would watch this listing to see what interest it gathered.
I'm stunned that the bidding has gone so high and it doesn't finish until Tuesday

I see that the cup has no Made in New Zealand according to Q&A on the auction.
So is it really Crown Lynn . I understood that all CL cups were marked underneath.

That's a good point Jonno.
Many of those cups have New Zealand on the base, that I have, though I have quite a few without any markings at all .....
It would be great to see what others have to say about this.

Rattled through my cups and found some white ones that have Made In New Zealand on the base. I must add that the cups are thicker and heavier than the average 'tulip'.
Ow! the cup is up to $82 now!!!!

I was told by someone that worked at the factory that often the Crown Lynn seconds were not always stamped and sometimes the stamp wasn't done very deeply and was covered by the glaze. And, if English, the English ALWAYS stamped theirs (the English handles are a bit different too).
