South Pacific Cups are in .... Fatbums are out !!
So pleased to find old adverts at the Museum Library for the so called 'fatbums' and Crown Lynn called them South Pacific Cups. I will never use the other term again!
I've seen listings on Trade Me that refer to South Pacific Cups and now I know why.
So the South Pacific dinner sets only used the South Pacific cups.
The adverts refer to the 12 colours that you can choose from that the South Pacific cups came in. Darned if I can find the colours at the moment. . . . . .
Caribbean dinner sets on the other hand matched up with the so called 'Tulip' cups only.
One of these days we will find the shape numbers for those South Pacific cups!!!!
South Pacific small coffee cup (demitasse)
On trademe...
Miniature "fatbum" cup on 12cm saucer (774).
http://www.trademe.co.nz/pottery-glass/auction-727916246.htm
South Pacific British backstamp.
This appears to be the same shape as the IGA cups.
(I'm currently thinking this shape may be 859.)
