Purple Iridescent Glaze on 1341 Mugs
Just wondering what the purple iridescent glaze is on these 1341 mugs? Have looked at the posts on the Lucow glaze but I haven't seen this colour before.

Re: Purple Iridescent Glaze on 1341 Mugs
Mike, these ones come from the Titian factory so it will be one of the Titian glazes rather than the Luke Adams ones.
I believe the Aquamarine glaze used on the Chateau Ware from the Titian factory is very similar to the Lucow, and there is a Titian-factory glaze that I see as a good stand-in for the Luke Adams Basalt on the castware.
My link on goblet mugs shows a plain goblet mug with a similar glaze, brown in some lights, purple in others with that lovely iridescence. I think I may have some of that shape too.

Re: Purple Iridescent Glaze on 1341 Mugs
Thanks Jeremy. These are a purple running to aubergine in some lights. I think I will try to find a bit more in that glaze. I had a good look through most of your previous posts on mugs etc. Very useful info for me thanks.
