Thanks Janice as every shape needs a topic so that there is a place to discuss things about it.
This is a really special find as it is the first Four Digit Shape!
Perhaps this is just a bit smaller than the 1010?
I'm terrible at maths so I will leave that to Jeremy to work out.
I've seen that insignia before ..... but can't recall what it stands for.

Honjohn would like to know who used this goats head emblem.
Does anyone have any ideas?

My first thought is that it was an old Massey University logo. Or perhaps one of the other agricultural colleges. I think it's a ram rather than a goat. This quote comes from a Massey website explaining the design of the current Coat of Arms "The crest is a four-horn ram's head which was originally used in the badge of the Students' Association of the University's predecessor, the Massey Agricultural College. The ram's head is symbolic of the link the University has with agriculture, and a reminder of its heritage."
Digging deeper: "In 1930 the Students' Association adopted the 'ramshead' - based on a model of an old Egyptian fresco - as their official symbol. The College also introduced an official haka."
