My wonderful Whitlocks jar! Empty My wonderful Whitlocks jar!

This was a lucky find at the Browns Bay SPCA shop. $25 which I was totally happy to hand over.  It is from Whitlocks in Wanganui, and once contained Chow Chow pickle.   It is 31 cm tall.  The mark is very blurred but I believe it is Timaru Potteries; I have included a clear mark from my bowl for comparison. The cork shown here is probably not the original; it has been cut down to fit. A fellow op-shopper suggested I use this jar to make sauerkraut. I just might!
