Crown Lynn made a range of flower decorating bowls and dishes using this brand name...

Tony purchased the book mentioned above ..... Flower Beauty, and had it sent to me.
The book was published in 1978 and copyrights apply so I can't do anything other than put what it says into my words.
This book is about floral art and how to use the vases and containers to great effect.
Most of rhe pottery vases they have used in the book were made exclusively for Flower Beauty -
12 shapes which we are all familiar with.
Crown Lynn is not credited for the pottery, as it was made to Flower Beauty's designs.
There are no measurements or numbers mentioned, but all of the shapes were made in three colours,
brown, white and black.

The shapes:
Small square bowl - 2053
Candle Holder - 2054
Gondola - 2055
Small Urn - 2058
Large Round Bowl - 2059
Banana Boat - 2060
Small Flat Square Bowl
Bird Bath
Large Flat Oblong Bowl
Elevated Pot 2097
Pedestal
Oblong Bowl

I will add the numbers that are on these when I see them arrive on Trademe.

In the May 1969 issue of New Zealand Ceramics there is a photo from the Titian/Crown Lynn factory of the Flower Beauty candlestick vases in production.

Thanks to Tony for alerting me to an auction on ebay for this same shaped vase.
The one on ebay has a Flower Beauty sticker and also a Barsony sticker.
Barsony Ceramics were a company that ran a pottery in Sydney from the 1950's to the 1970's.
They are well known for the black figurine lamp bases that they made.
The vase in this auction is 13cmx13cm .... my one is 14cmx14cm.
I wonder if Crown Lynn/Titian supplied the NZ market and Barsony the AU market?

I think these beautiful candlesticks that I've just bought on Trade Me may well be Titian Flower Beauty, although they are not labelled as such, just called (unmarked) Crown Lynn.
They haven't arrived yet, but are destined for the top of the "new"old china cabinet with the Sapphire collection.

How interesting to find that all of these Flower Beauty shapes were originally made by Titian, having the letters JH before the number. These were given four digit numbers by Crown Lynn between 1971 to 1976.

Thanks for this photo haselnuss. The shape doesn't show up in the Flower Beauty book that I have, but the Flower Beauty sticker is priceless Wink
We wondered if Flower Beauty sourced their vases from several potteries ....?

I also have the same shape just a little smaller, like a medium size, in the white Titian crackle glaze which made me think that the black one is Titian too.

Did my husband include the photo? If not I will ask him to email it again tomorrow.

Would you like a photo of the black candle stick with the Flower Beauty sticker attached?

We just have to keep a look out for a Crown Lynn four digit numbered one, so that it can be identified in the records. There are 12 Titian shapes that were used by Flower Beauty and were given four digit numbers and made by Crown Lynn and we only have identified a few of these. There is one entry that says 2056 - Bowl (Irregular Triangle) that could be your bowl, but I would rather wait for confirmation.
Yes I hope you do send the smaller crackle one, as that is a Titian finish rather then a Crown Lynn.

I found the F/B small flat square bowl that is also in the book on the museum website.
They say it has the Flower Beauty sticker on the base.

The small flat square bowl shape.

It is marked Titian which is hard to see because it is glazed over so also needs to go in the Titian gallery.

These Flower Beauty pieces should all have Crown Lynn four digit numbers, but unless someone can work them out from the ones missing in the 2000's Gallery we will have to wait for them to turn up somewhere with numbers.

I am happy to have found another shape from the Flower Beauty book. It is unmarked
like most of them. Probably because the Flower Beauty sticker has washed off.

This one is only pictured decorated with flowers on one page and not on the page that shows the Flower Beauty shapes. My hubby has sent an email to the publishers to allow us to show the pictures on the forum.

I have seen a white one in the Romantique Antique Shop last year. It was unmarked too but came from the same woman that sold more Flower Beauty pieces to the shop at the time. It was too expensive for it's condition.
