3059 Japanese Coffee Mug

Crown Lynn 3059 Japanese Coffee Mug 8.3.82
How appropriate that I should find this at New Lynn Hospice shop. It's only because of Portage Ceramic Trust's on-line inventory that I knew that this was a Crown Lynn shape; there is no indication of maker, not even a Made in New Zealand mark. And this mug seems quite un-Crown-Lynn-like, except of course that it has the correct weight, body, glaze and footring!
measurements: 83mm H x 77 OD top x 62 OD footring
I was anticipating a long hunt on the Portage site to find it again, with 150 pages of cups to search through and similar number of mugs, fortunately I inserted the right keywords in google images and found it first page.
I took photos earlier today anticipating that it would be dark when we got back to Whangas and there'd be no light. I may try again tomorrow.
