A R G is Adel Graham from Morrinsville Dsc03710
As you can tell, I'm having a catch-up on unidentified marks. I have pondered this one for a while, as the mark is unclear within the glaze
A R G is Adel Graham from Morrinsville Dsc03711
It looks like RBG to me. Any thoughts?

I was thinking ARG too, I've seen a lot of an "ARG" mark about, I have seen who it belongs to somewhere, not sure whether that was here or not though...

There is an ARG query on the site ... no photo though.
https://www.newzealandpottery.net/t3955-signed-arg

and an ARG listing on Trademe from 2011
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:t7fzt9wZ2ZgJ:www.trademe.co.nz/pottery-glass/porcelain-pottery/other-nz-manufacturers/auction-423740322.htm+&cd=6&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=nz

no photos that I could see.

The potter of this was a Hamilton one I think. You can't move in OP shops here without tipping over ARG's pots. I wish I could remember his name. I have heard however that he has now left the country for good. He is/was a decent potter.

A R G was the mark of Adel graham, a potter from morrinsville. her signature was usually more hand written than this later on but early work was as above.

Wow thank you so much for this info! cheers
We have waited a long time to find out the potter's name and she certainly was a prolific maker in all domestic ware.
Fantastic !!!!

Wonderful! I'm sure I grew up with a set of ARG spice Jr's in the family home in Blenheim in the 70s
