I do like Simon Engelhard's work. This one looks a bit unusual because it is a decorated piece from his later stoneware period. Most of the later pieces I find are a bit more "Anglo-Oriental". This plate harks back to his earlier more European earthenware period.

Thanks I fixed the title, he must have been a prolific potter as I often find smaller pieces of domestic ware with his mark. cat

Now someone told me recently that Simon worked at Crum or Crown Lynn and he knew Daniel Steenstra and extolled his throwing abilities.
