Hon-johns vitrified pieces .....
I've been working on these since he listed them and I need help.
1. The lid doesn't go with the eggcup !!
2. Certainly looks like an eggcup, but we don't have this one anywhere?
3. This is definitely an Individual Lidded Sugar .... Lid 1623 maybe .... I keep changing my mind. The records say 732 for the bowl, but I don't agree ....
Kat has one or Jim ....?
Here it is in the big picture... from 1968 and it's the small lidded sugar in the middle row next to the salt shaker.

Re: Hon-johns vitrified pieces .....
3. I agree is the individual sugar that goes with the Cook & Serve teapots etc. Lid is correct. I saw one of these at Just Plain (Plane?) Interesting today without lid, but accompanied by similarly marked (RNZAF) small jug. Yes I'm pretty sure either Kat or I will have photographed Jim's burgundy one.
1. Is hotel stacking eggcup. I'm pretty sure the lid doesn't belong. Try comparing it to lid for hotel stacking sugar.
2. Is totally unfamiliar to me. Is it like your mustard liner Ev?

Re: Hon-johns vitrified pieces .....
John sent this info to try to help with this mystery ...
"Hi Eve, just found out that you had been talking about the Airforce pots that I had on Trade Me. The one with the lid that you call the individual sugar pot has nothing at all on the lid but on the base of the pot it has the round green stamp with Crown Lynn at the top and Super Vitrified Ware on the bottom and the number 70 under the crown New Zealand. It also has New Zealand impressed around the base. I am certain that this is the right lid for this pot. The other pot that I have a lid on could be a stacking egg cup and that has a brown line around near the top and Made in New Zealand in raised words on the base. So that lid might go on the other pot as it fits OK and they both have gold line around them. On the lid and near the top of the pot. On the base of the pot it has green Crown Lynn in script and Vitrified. Nothing at all on the lid. I hope that this is of some use to you"

Re: Hon-johns vitrified pieces .....
I haven't got my head around dates for the deco variations yet but some RNZAF monogrammed vitrified ware had a blue band as part of the deco. Some had metallic gold and some had non-metallic gold (just yellow-orange). I see some of John's pieces have both blue line and metallic gold.
