Empire ware doesnt look like Salisbury but who is it? English probably
EDIT - Since I wrote the post below I have seen another Empire Ware vase which was made in England so I am now pretty confident this brand is English.
This odd little vase came my way. it is the same shape as the CL early vases, and hand painted. But the paint is different from Salisbury. Who is it? At about 11 cm tall it is bigger than a CL glazed vase in the same shape. It is definitely slipcast.
This is another oddity. About the same height, from Jim's collection. Probably English was the consenus when we looked at it. But who knows?

The first one gets my attention as the shape is so familiar.
The second one I will discount as English, as I've never seen that shape before.
There is an English pottery called Empire Ware and I found a couple of similar painted items on Pinterest. However none have the same backstamp as the first one.
Ambrico would have copied these early vases from English ones and it does have that look that the Made in England ones have regarding colours and style.

Here is an empire ware vase on Trademe. Different backstamp... but looks reasonably old. it is English.
