Paul Hemara face mug and Hemara Pottery sticker
Paul Hemara face mug.
I picked this mug up from Wellsford Hospice shop couple weeks ago and almost missed it because the glazes matched very nicely with a group of Ken Martin's work that it sat with. I love the fag sticking out of the mouth.

The Hemara Pottery sticker was where it is now, tucked under the handle and looking a bit pulled at.

I discussed the mug and sticker with Val, who told me that when the Hemaras took over Parker Pottery Paul Hemara hated the Parker face mug and discontinued the line, however Val emailed Paul for me and this is what he had to say:
"The face mug you have was one of the first things I made when I started throwing, must be almost 30 years old."
Thanks Val.
Win and win.
