I made a Robert Muldoon mug ...
Kat picked up this mould from Hospice outlet.
Thought it looked like Muldoon.

I tried pressing some stoneware clay into it to get an impression but I wasn't satisfied ...

... so I made my remaining earthenware clay into slip and cast one and fettled it.

third attempt!
I must admit I have a lot to learn about casting but at least the shape is clear to see.
This Muldoon sculpture was also used for a bronze-coloured plastic money box.
Any ideas who made it?

Wow what an interesting thing to find in an op shop Kat and what an interesting thing to make Jeremy!
Incidentally yesterday there was a slip casting demo at the CL museum. It was very well attended and here's hoping they hold another. I had other things on so I couldn't go unfortunately.

This looks like it might be the same mug with the handle on the side of the head. https://www.trademe.co.nz/3611748139
