I would say that the cork would be original.
Fresh milk was delivered every day in those days and milk tokens were put into the empty bottles at the letterbox and the milkman left the fresh milk and took away the empty ones with the tokens inside. Wonderful really and the milk had a layer of cream on top that was fought over to put on the hot porridge

Since I discovered these containers, I have been reading up on them. Way back in the day in the Netherlands, when the milkman made his rounds, payment would be cash (or maybe credit). No tokens. So no token containers.
I am still blown away to find them. They are hand potted and so beautiful. Just wonderful.
