Harwyn Pottery painted Ambrico glazed ware.
Arthur and Alice Partridge ran Harwyn Pottery and bought glazed vases from Ambrico and then painted designs onto the glazed ware. I found one of these pieces from the early 1940's yesterday and did a tiny test to see if the paint would scrape off with my fingernail...... and it did. Luckily the 41 vase I found looks like it has never been used so the painted flowers are in pristine condition.
and the Ambrico fraction marks on the base..
