For gallery Morris and James advertising plate
When I first saw this plate I was a bit disappointed but it has grown on me. It is about the size of a bread and butter plate and in the lovely rich Morris and James terracotta clay which they mined (and still mine) from their own property at Matakana just north of Auckland. The plate must have been made to promote their outlet store in Parnell in Aukland - which is long since gone
