That's a beauty Truffles and I haven't seen one before. I will check it out tomorrow
Re: Spartan Sailing Ship
I didn't have any luck with Google Lens, but that can be rather hit or miss.
This is beautifully made, but I don't think that the clay and style are that of Spartan/Stevens. The clay isn't 'warm' enough.

Re: Spartan Sailing Ship
Thanks Ev, appreciate your help. One of the things that I had originally noted was how the base was painted in a quite thick layer of paint, with even some brush strokes showing. I was reminded of the base of the wire handled basket I have (since revealed as Spartan, yay). Paint job is very intact so just the odd spot of clay showing. Hopefully the maker will come to light at some stage.

Re: Spartan Sailing Ship
As you have pointed out that the base is heavily painted then I could be totally wrong as to the maker
