Does this look like Crown Lynn? It looks very similar to other Trickle glaze Ambrico animals. Measures 10.5 cm long. It’s crude enough but the clay colour I am not to sure about. Cheers BillyWombat??? Img_0123

Hi there, it looks like a wombat to me too Smile

It wasn't made by Crown Lynn, as the Ambrico glazes were used on the straw coloured Ambrico clay.

I suggest you ask on the Australian Pottery Discussion page on Facebook about it.

I have searched womat on there and there are a few.

Google images had trouble searching your photo, so it may help to take a photo in good light.

Good luck.

Thanks Ev, I had already asked a friend who is a guru on Australian pottery and she didnt recognise the maker either. Totally agree about the straw coloured clay thats all I had seen before.
Cheers Billy

I don't think it was made by a 'big' pottery as it's a bit rough.
Probably a small pottery that made their own mould.
