As soon as I saw this cup and plate I knew it was Crown Lynn. Couldn't remember if it was in Val Monk's book or not. Checked it out when I got home and Val has the Classic backstamp in the same font, which confirms my findings Very Happy Val Monk says this backstamp was used in the 1960's.

even though it has a chip, a hairline crack and many blemishes:
