I popped into work today to see how we'd faired after the quake - amazingly nothing broken, just some puzzles down off the shelf, and spotted this beauty waiting to be put out: Gorgeous large stoppered bottle - Jupiter-like glaze Dsc03117

I suspect there MAY be a potter's mark hidden under the glaze here:

or possibly the hint of a 'P' here - there is the remains of a sticker (sigh, so frustrating!)

What a gorgeous bottle!
Personally I don't think either of those markings are a potters mark.
The first is a bleed from a lump of iron oxide and the second is a scratch from making.
Stickers were very popular in the early 1980's and I used them extensively myself.
The glaze will help find the potter as it's stunning!
