Hopefully nzbungalow will win this one and inform the trader with the correct information. I suppose it is hard to change what one believes after a long time of believing incorrect information ......
Oh and I guess I am a Crown Lynn Collector ...... don't think anyone would disagree with that hahahaaaaa

Manhattan, and other Orzel.
When I bid I thought it was a new shape but on comparing with the gallery I see it looks like a 110 vase.
I like the green, even if it has a brown bottom.
I have 112 from the Retro Fair and picked up a 113 at Tikipunga market a fortnight ago for $1, both in the green, so a third shape in the same colour would be nice. The 110 is a big piece so I thought bit more money for it would be OK. I don't see Manhattan much in Whangarei, so I need to buy them when and where I can.
A green 113 sold for about $11 a week or so back but the one at $30 keeps on coming back. From my observation the 113 seems to be the most common shape. I have it in five different colours on six vases. I have stacked them up and and photographed them with the intention of posting them sometime as a "Manhattan skyscraper".
If the seller has a copy of Collectors Guide they should know, and if they don't then maybe they don't want to know. Serious collectors will know. Sometimes I correct people sometimes I don't. Depends on how I'm feeling on the day.
Not much luck on my travels. We woke late yesterday so I didn't have time for the dump shop at Greymouth and there are no op-shops left there. Day before I bought a wee Orzel jug at Westport which will sit nicely with the larger one, and pepper and salt, I already have. I'll post that on my return.

Re: Crown Lynn Metropolis auction/s
I wondered afterwards if i had been too grumpy but i guess the seller always has the option of publishing the comment or not.
