Hi hesswip, I would say that the sticker would be correct as these were commonly used by potters. Doreen made earthy work, though I would never have guessed this piece was made by her without the sticker. However it doesn't surprise me that it was and I think you are very lucky to have a piece of her work.

Trade Me has a vast pottery collecting audience hesswip.
The best place to list it is under Other Manufacturers. Good luck.

Thanks for that.Im getting quite interested in pottery as I get older and find it exciting. I met Mirek Smisek in hospital just before he died he was an interesting character for sure and still had a twinkle in his eye. He wore a beautiful silk dressing gown and gave the nurses a hard time and they loved him

I've just had one of these come in at work, I'll be looking to sell it on behalf of our charity store and would be interested to know what price to put on it either on trade me or the new nz pottery buy sell page

How long is a piece of string?
I've been selling lately and anything 'valuable' I put on Trade Me at a price that I would be happy to get if it only gets one bid.
I would list something like this at $50 start and see where it goes.
The NZ Pottery Buy & Sell Facebook page works best with a Buy Now, as most people don't know how to bid on an auction on there.
Good luck Cat
