Came across this Red Lake Buff record the other day and knew that I had it.

It seems to me that Red Lake d408 is on the glow white on rimmed ware and I have updated the gallery regarding this.

Janice, we have the record for Richmond d635, but haven't identified it yet, so it's not in the gallery.  It will be one of your lot.

Red Lake Buff d071, Red Lake d408 and Richmond d635 Empty Red Lake and Richmond Pattern

Post  JanPots Mon 23 Sep - 11:10

I just merged 2 topics as there is valuable information on both.

Looking through my photos of this pattern I have cups -
White Glaze - Tulip shape cup
White Glaze - Classique Shape
White Glaze - 3038 cup shape - referenced as Firestorm ( no number) and Red Lake 071 ( TM listings from ages ago)
White Glaze with thin brown line - 3038 cup
Clover speckled Glaze - 3038 Cup

White Glaze BB plate no back stamp and shape ( not rimmed or coupe )
So we have :-

Red Lake Buff
Red Lake 071
Richmond 635
Red Lake 408

Have I missed any? So which is which?
edits: what about Firestorm - I always knew this pattern to be called firestorm many moons ago

Our information is so limited on these, we know that different shapes usually mean different pattern names, also a band usually denotes another pattern.

A new curator is starting at Te Toi Uku at the beginning of October, so I will be able to do some more research and who knows what I will find.

Red Lake 071 seen on TM on a 3019 cup.
White glaze.

The saucer that is with it may not be the correct match ( in my opinion )

2278174423 it's an expired listing.
The saucer has the thin brown band edge and belongs to the coffee can 3038 that I have shown on my previous photos.
The cup 3019 as Red Lake 071 on the backstamp.

Thanks !!  The cup is very white and has no band and has Red Lake d071 on the base.
So it will go with a coupe shaped saucer.
Do we have anything in this pattern?
I don't think so ...... arghhhhhhhhh

Red Lake Buff d071, Red Lake d408 and Richmond d635 Empty Red Lake and Richmond Pattern

Post  JanPots Mon 30 Sep - 9:24

I've been looking at everything again, and there are so many variations !
Someone out there must have some examples ??

So, its just like your BB plate but on "rimmed ware"
we could just use your plate as "Richmond" in the gallery as its showing the pattern, its on Ash and brown the line. but say it should be on rimmed ware?
Its an option until the rimmed ware turns up?

I cant believe that I don't have a 3019 cup!!! what sort of a collector am I? Razz Razz

Edits: thought occurred - on the Richmond paperwork, there is no mention of a saucer because I think it would have just been plain without the flower decal.
I cant find my cup and saucer with the brown band and I know I had 3 of them,
I found this photo - see what I mean about the saucer? ( in saying that, the bands don't look like a match and are they white? I need to find them ! see if there is any reference on the back-stamp ) also meaning I was looking for a rimmed saucer and it may not be what we should be looking for. Does that make sense? So we need to find cups 3038, BB 4043 plates, dinner plate 4046 or dish 4047 as those are on the paperwork for Richmond

Big HUGS for being there Janice, you are my patterns person for life xxxx

No unfortunately we can't use my plate for Richmond, as it will be another pattern wahhh
1000 people come here a week looking for information and they will just see the pics and go from there. We need to be as correct as possible.

Red Lake hasn't shown it'self to me yet, but I have noted others mentioning it.

At last this one can go into the gallery.
Great work Janice.
I don't go on any of the Crown Lynn sites as there are so many and there are too many ups and downs for me.
