1280 - Scraffito Pottery Vase - Barry Ball

Hi the lovely kajomi (Lorraine) from trademe has given permission for me to send in her photos.
Please can you credit her for the photos?
I found this interesting as I have the same shape vase in white porcelain by Terra Ceramics 1983 Ltd.

Is there a connection between Barry Ball and Terra Ceramics that I haven't traced?

I have this vase in black and white for Stage Artware, also in plain purple and in plain white. Interesting that it is also in Terra. Most likely it is a stock shape which has been used by several different potteries. Alternatively, a mould maker/modeller has made the same shape for several different potteries.

That is all that is needed, as we don't have a Barry Ball or 1280 Gallery to put them into.

I saw a big 1280 vase recently decorated all over in that delicious decoration they did.
