Who was Waipapa Potteries? - Lilian Jones thanks Signal Red
I realise there is hardly anything on this site about Waipapa Potteries. I am wondering who they were - perhaps Signal Red might be able to help out here?
There is a FAINT possibility that Lilian Jones and Waipapa were one and the same, but probably not.
Here is a duo by Waipapa. The saucer has the Waipapa Potteries mark. Below it a mug by the same decorator which carries a squiggle signature.

More on Waipapa Potteries
Thanks to Signal Red, we now know that Waiapa Potteries was owned by Lily Jones. Lilian was bought out by Studio Ceramics and moved to Auckland to work at Studio Ceramics for some years as a designer/artist.
Her designs at Waipapa included Damson Plum, Persimmon and Citrus.
Here is a brochure which Signal Red has copied and sent to me.

Hi, this pattern will have a name and I was hoping that the catalogues at Te Toi Uku will reveals many of the names we are looking for.
We have a Studio Ceramics Gallery and any patterns we know have been named ...

Thanks Ev, I'll have a look. We do have catalogues that came with the donation but unfortunately we are missing quite a few years. We also have advertising material but these are not dated so I can identify the pattern name but not the year(s) it was produced.
