Crown Lynn Shape 2152 Flora & Fauna Plaque 11.7.84
This plaque has been mystifying for many years, but today Kate & Dayle got one of these plaques with the gold finish and could compare the two.

This one is a little smaller than the gold finish one and is earthenware compared to the gold finish one, which is vitrified.
This is glazed in a rich dark brown which can be seen better in the base photo.
The markings on the base suggest this was a special run.
I will check out Tam Mitchell's and Bruce Yallop's modelling records for this timeframe next time I am at Te Toi Uku.
