Crown Lynn Swans
I would be interested in knowing what the approximate value is of the Crown Lynn baby swans. I have a beautiful little white swan with a yellow beak and black eyes. It is in very good condition with no damage. No 154 written underneath. It belonged to my Grandparents so could be over 60 years old. I have seen very few with the yellow beaks. I'd like to know more about these little yellow beak cuties if anyone has info on them. With thanks : )

Re: Crown Lynn Swans
Hi Littledolly - and welcome to our site!
The yellow beak and black eye baby swans (154) are certainly not as common as the white or cream. On trademe I have seen them go over $100 - in an antique shop they would be significantly more.
The rare old coloured ones in our gallery I usually pay between $220 and $270 for on trademe...I would expect your one to not be quite so rare but certainly a good collectors piece..
I think the value would really depend on who was looking at the time on trademe - a realistic reserve might be $150??
This is just my own observations and private opinion...hope it helps!!
Perhaps you need to become a swan collector too!!

Hi Heather, Thanks for your reply. Great to hear your thoughts on these little swans. While it's a real cutie I don't really think I will start to collect them and can possibly part with it as I have another lovely momento from my Grandparents (who owned the swan before me) I think someone else will enjoy it even more. I have seen very few with the painted beak and eyes so really didn't quite know how to price it. Thanks for your help with this. Great to find this group who enjoy NZ Crown Lynn. Our family do have a few pieces and it's interesting to hear about their history. The swans are still loved today and many of the retro shapes of the dinner sets and other pieces etc are still quite funky so still enjoyed now. Thanks again : )
