Help to ID plate
Hi there, I found a plate in my Mum's cupboard. I cant see how to post photos of the plate??
It is a display plate, with a gold Italic text Crown Lynn, incased in a rectangular scrolled frame.
The edge of plate is lime green venetting into an off white centre. the centre of has an 8cm round portrait style of 2 lovers on bench seat in garden dressed in the 1800's. There is a signature I cant read, then Amsterdam Holland. I cant find anything else by CL that even looks remotely like this plate. Any help would be appreciated, after search I am now curious
thanks in advance Diana

Re: Help to ID plate
Hi I'm sure I know the plate you mean as I collect them.
The backstamp was used between 1948 to 1955 and these would be from the earlier part of that timeframe.
They are fairly common and I only pay between $5 to $15 for them.
