Margaret Olsen ( was Epps)
It was lovely to bump into Margaret Olsen on the NZ Studio Pottery page on Facebook.
I haven't seen her since the mid 1970's when I would visit her and Des Epps in Weymouth and they were very patient and inspirational. I adored their work!
Margaret has agreed to let me post photos of her work and marks for the site.
Beautiful work, beautiful decoration and fabulously fired !
A brief bio : Margaret started with Papakura Potters 70s. Moved north 1979 continued potting on own till ‘95. Member Pots of Ponsonby early 80s. Member Warkworth Potter Co operative Gallery, Warkworth 1990s. Mainly diesel and gas fired stoneware and porcelain. Occasional pit firing. Sold to galleries throughout NZ.
