I have been offered a Small black swan. It is immaculate and has the number 154 on the base but no crown lynn stamp. I am unsure whether this is genuine

Gosh you are very lucky!
There were no Fake Baby Swans made, but many other potteries have produced them.
The most recent Black Baby Swan that went to auction fetched around $6,000.
Not sure if that helps, but good luck Very Happy
