Hi there

Bought this large bowl today, it is made of really coarse clay (not sure what that is called)

Has a scrawl mark on the base -

Looks a little like the John Macassey mark I thought maybe but then not like the pics of work i can find and i don’t know his work.

Any ideas? thanks heaps!

I agree that the mark looks like that of John Macassey.
Did you check out the link to that mark a bit lower down in the gallery?

Hi VikiM. Yes, that bowl was made by me. Probably at Tapu and wood fired in my 3 chambered climbing kiln.
Great to see it is still with us.
