Handkerchief No.3 Mantel Vase. How exciting!!!
Many thanks to Captainhobson for the photos and for contacting me about this vase that she won off Trade Me.
She couldn't find it in the Galleries as it was a different size!
The nearest shape in the Gallery is the Shape 669 Handkerchief Trough first made in 1964.
The 669 is 28.8 and 11mm. This one is 26.7 x 140.

669 and this one to compare:

So I looked through some records ....
....... and found this drawing of a No.3 Handkerchief Mantle Vase:

Wow it is a perfect measurement match!!!!
Some of these modellers drawings shapes were made, but not put into production.
The ones that did go into production had their correct Shape numbers added.
Trials had between 50 to 100 pieces made and I believe this to be one of those!
Ever so exciting!! Not sure which Gallery to put it in yet .... so if you have any ideas please let me know![Very Happy](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_biggrin.png)

Fabulous find.
What about the the trials gallery that has different plate patterns? Not the same genre but still a trial... or sit it next to 669 as " 669 trial " but thats not quite right. Umm...tricky
Another gallery headed "modellers drawings "
