New Shape 855 Vegie Dish 856 Lid and knob to 855

23cmw serving dish that I have been overlooking for ages & only just realised when it was marked down to $5 that it is CL..what shape number is this?

Not really sure about a number for this shape, but there is an 827 Scallop which is a serving dish that we don't have.  We will have to wait for more info though.  It has that bulge like the old cup that we have somewhere.

Eeeeee I saw this at the Portage Museum the other day didn't I ?

Plus a ring vase that looked like it had a candle holder in the middle?
Do we have that on the site? Or did I miss it somehow?

Watched the Crown Lynn on Film footage again and noticed this serving dish in the background along with a 734 Gravy Boat and some 777 Coffee Pots.
I'm still keen on this being Shape 826 / 827 Scallop ...

This is a serving dish made between 1948 - 1955.

Help please as I have a problem with this Lidded serving dish name.

I worked out a long time ago that a Scallop was a lidded serving dish in the 1940's and 1950's.

However I've just realised that there is another possible number for this shape, the 855\856 Vegie Dish with lid.

Any bright ideas out there please to help sort out which one this is ????

Or do I give this one two different numbers?  Huh??

Rightio I'm going with 855 Vegie Dish and 856 Lid and knob to 855 for these lovely dishes.

I couldn't get anywhere with the Scallop and then I saw it spelt Scollop and gave up!!

I will try to merge Kat's one into this topic.
