I wondered if this is beach art ware? Its a mug with Cooks Beach written on the top part of the mug.
No backstamp to be seen !

Beach didn't do the pots with writing on them like this, but Peter Lowrie Pottery did Smile

Thanks Ev.. It does have that look about it... as per the gallery images. Especially the mug shown..
It was the base that made me think Beach art ware.

Peter Lowrie used the same clay as Beach and similar glazes.
He was related to Mrs Beach and when Mr Beach passed away Peter Lowrie started up his own pottery and Daniel Steenstra did all of the throwing of the pottery.
