Please would someone identify this makers mark. It was on a very oriental / Bernard Leach style vase. It looks like a M I think.

Hello, no expert here but it is giving me Helen Mason vibes?
Especially this piece with an older mark... https://www.newzealandpottery.net/t11035-helen-mason-jug
with the pressed in circle and then the M ontop as well as the placement of the marker and some of her other pieces with glaze not all the way to the bottom??

Sorry for my bad terminology etc 🤣 I've just been browsing very intently on here and see similarities with this and her work (:

Hi there, there are so many M marks in our Mystery Marks!

I don't know who this one belongs to, but it is a beautiful high fired stoneware vase and the decoration is superb. It was made by a potter of talent and experience. Hopefully someone recognises this mark and will let you know.

This is not Helen Masons mark, as her M stamp looks like an envelope.

Thank you Ev for your feedback. Yes I hope someone has a recollection of the mark or style. I guess it may come from overseas.
It has a very similar glaze and decoration to some Harry and May Davis bowls I have. I assume from a similar time period and skill set.
