Re: Please help identify this makers mark
Hello, no expert here but it is giving me Helen Mason vibes?
Especially this piece with an older mark... https://www.newzealandpottery.net/t11035-helen-mason-jug
with the pressed in circle and then the M ontop as well as the placement of the marker and some of her other pieces with glaze not all the way to the bottom??
Sorry for my bad terminology etc
I've just been browsing very intently on here and see similarities with this and her work (:

Re: Please help identify this makers mark
Hi there, there are so many M marks in our Mystery Marks!
I don't know who this one belongs to, but it is a beautiful high fired stoneware vase and the decoration is superb. It was made by a potter of talent and experience. Hopefully someone recognises this mark and will let you know.
This is not Helen Masons mark, as her M stamp looks like an envelope.

Thank you Ev for your feedback. Yes I hope someone has a recollection of the mark or style. I guess it may come from overseas.
It has a very similar glaze and decoration to some Harry and May Davis bowls I have. I assume from a similar time period and skill set.
