Hey there, I have found some pottery in my back garden and cannot seem to find who has made it. I believe it is missing a lid but was wondering if someone may recognize the stamp

Hi there, it would help if you also added a photo of the pot.
What part of the country do you live in as that might help too Smile

I live in Timaru. We've just moved into this house and have been finding all kinda of pottery but this one I can't seem to figure out. Here is a photo 😊Unknown pottery 20230914

Thank you!
Yes the casserole is missing it's lid.
It crossed my mind that the mark could be that of Richard Cadness, but he potted in Auckland, so it can't be his.
It might pay to check with any pottery groups in Timaru, as someone might have an idea.
This is stoneware and will be from the 1970's to 1990's era.
Good luck.
