Fabulous Pottery Stools made by Hiroko Pope

I was in Christchurch visiting the Revamp Market recently, and was also lucky enough to collect these wonderful stools on the way home.

I learnt from her son, that Hiroko Pope was a member of the Mt Pleasant Pottery Club, & had her own wheel/kiln etc. She experimented a lot with different glazes & firing.

Sadly, she now has Alzheimer's dementia & is living out her remaining years in full time care. I feel so privileged to have these, and her son said he really loved that I appreciated them.
