Re: Unknown pattern ..... is Sapele d350 !!
As you already know Jess, this pattern is in the Exhibition at the City Gallery.
I strained everything trying to see the number on the back that reflected in the mirror.
Gave up in the end and asked the gallery assistant for help ....
the imaginary number that I saw turned out to read ..... Made In New Zealand!
Jess - Heather and I really enjoyed the Library Cafe![Wink](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_wink.gif)
Adored Wellington ..... a lovely City![Very Happy](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_biggrin.png)

I love this pattern, it reminds me of the old wallpaper sample books my mum used to get in the 70s!

What an interesting powerful pattern from Crown Lynn.
The name Sapele is taken from a mahogany like tree grown in Africa and was commonly
used for furniture and doors in the 70's and 80's

Re: Unknown pattern ..... is Sapele d350 !!
This pattern was one of the prize winners in the Design Awards, no idea who designed it, but I haven't checked out the Design Awards file at the Portage Museum yet so hopefully that information will turn up.
