Thanks emmitt ![Smile](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_smile.gif)
A Peter Gibbs won the Crown Lynn Design Awards in 1967 with the pattern Novelle. This Peter also came 2nd in 1965 and 3rd in 1964. Also there was an article in a Crown Lynn Ceramics Magazine about him that mentioned Papakura High School. I have tried to find him on the net and only get a Peter Gibbs who was a potter that came from Nelson, which must be the maker of your lovely piece. I wonder if they are they same guy?

Re: Peter Gibbs
Peter Gibbs the studio potter joined the site some time ago and I asked him if he was the same Peter Gibbs that was a Design Award winner at Crown Lynn.
He replied to say that he hadn't won any Design Awards and that he hasn't potted for some time and now works as a subeditor for a Nelson newspaper.... the Nelson Mail I think.
