no markings on this, but pattern is raised around the top
for the life of me I can't read the back of this one, why did they stamp black on dark brown?

Well I haven't seen that mug before .... what does it say on the base?
The plate is Frisco ... can't remember the number, but it should be in the Gallery.
I bought one of those striking plates when they were released in the 1970's with the intention of building up a set, but never did lolz.

The base of the mug is just stamped or impressed made in New Zealand, no number. I looked in the gallery for the Frisco pattern, but it's not there, that's why I sent it in. still have some more to come ..... I am really enjoying looking for patterns for the site, this will be a great resource for future generations!

You're right, Frisco isn't in the Gallery!
May have to ask Marl for help as she posted the light brown and dark brown Frisco, but as they didn't have numbers I didn't put them into the Gallery.
Database has two numbers for Frisco ... 30 and 473 which is no help at all really

Re: 2 for the gallery including Frisco d473
I asked the seller about the Benhar mugs, and she has replied that they had 1111 on the base, just like this one. That's not helping is it? Do you suppose they are Crown Lynn and she is mistaken as to where they were made??mumof1 wrote:The base of the mug is just stamped or impressed made in New Zealand, no number. Re: 2 for the gallery including Frisco d473
If they have Made in New Zealand and a four digit number they will be Crown Lynn made at Titian Potteries. I posted in the 1111 mug thread ....

Aha!! There is that elusive mug with no number on it ..... thank you Andrea
We are not sure if the dark Frisco has a different name and number to the light brown Frisco d473 .... just waiting until further info comes to hand.
