Re: Kon Tiki d244
It's been a hard day at the salt mines .....
so I'm going to have to come back to work my way through these Marl
This is my original post for Kon Tiki d244

I saw a Kon Tiki d244 listed on Trademe recently that was the same pattern as your second photo and thought Uh Oh ...... so I'm sort of on track![Wink](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_wink.gif)

Re: Kon Tiki d244
It is a bit confusing, but I am sure the brown plate is the real Kon Tiki I have had it several times and seen the backstamp and also seen it listed with the 244 number. Cheers, did you see my post of Sylvia Blossom Time?

Re: Kon Tiki d244
I think I have it sorted now ![Very Happy](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_biggrin.png)
I just have to replace the Kon Tiki in the Gallery with the real deal.
I bet those mismatched backstamps and patterns ended up in the Seconds shops!!
Yes I saw the beautiful Sylvia Blossom Time and will shortly load it into the Gallery![Cool](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_cool.gif)
p.s..... do you know the real name of the first pattern??????

Re: Kon Tiki d244
How about these? (as someone has posted in TM forum)
http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/95/231813295_full.jpg
Pattern appears to be kon tiki - but colour seems much darker overall than the ones in the photos here. Am wondering about the backstamp on these as the poster was saying they were 'part of the forma range'

Re: Kon Tiki d244
Oh how dark is dark?
Yes it does look like the real Kon Tiki d244 pattern, but greatly overfired so much that the pattern has darkened to oblivion!
If there is a backstamp it would surely be impossible to read as the colour is so dark ....? I hope it doesn't say Forma on the back anywhere....

Re: Kon Tiki d244
Ahah, original poster has been back and it was just a slip - writing 'Forma' instead of 'Apollo'. So you think it is a 'second' rather than an intentional colour variation then?
