Re: Ginger Jar from Crown Lynn ?
The jars were only ever decorative items - all the talk of ginger growers and importers is hallucinatory but they're Crown Lynn products - there are buckets of shards of them in the Portage collection.

Re: Ginger Jar from Crown Lynn ?
I understand that the Ginger Jars were made for a well known Chinese Fruit and Vegie merchant who filled them with preserved ginger for the local Chinese community

Re: Ginger Jar from Crown Lynn ?
Hmmm the next generation probably won't be able to see an old site like this the way technology is travelling ....
Hahaaa this site is turning into a Crown Lynn Appreciation Society.
The Admins take no responsibility for personal addictions, as they have enough troubles struggling with their own![Razz](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_razz.gif)
I've always found pottery irresistable, but for some unknown reason Crown Lynn is bewitching
