Wharetana Ware Moulds from the Richard Quinn collection
These are in the Crown Lynn: Pottery for the People Exhibition at the Gus Fisher Gallery, Auckland.
Haven't been able to match these up to any of the designs that are in the Wharetana ware Catalogue, almost, nearly, but not quite! Also the material that the moulds are made from looks like a modern type resin, so they would have been made in more recent times, rather than later I gather.
This Tiki looks very similar to the 1017 Maui plaque, but the pointy head and the upraised arm shows that it's not a match.
This fellow is very similar to the figure on the 1006 trinket box, but this is rather large and the figure on the box is small ....?
