Re: Perhaps a large spice jar ?? 1275
A spice jar I agree ..... how big is it?
Part of that Avondale Gourmet Selection around 1980 .... I checked Val Monk
This would have had a cork in a previous life ...
the 70's and 80's were filled with corked pots

1275 shape looks as though it is from the Titian range (ref P 129 Monk) two pieces next to the jug. They were marketed as Country Fair and yes they did have corks , here is my sample, shape 1268.
Interesting that they picked up this shape from the 1970's and reused it in 1980.

Re: Perhaps a large spice jar ?? 1275
Saw a Crown Lynn advert at the Museum for this ware and it showed the whole range including a large platter with dots around the rim ... my notes are at home - will check them later.
Also I came across a note I had made to say that Crown Lynn took over around 605 shapes that Titian made ......

re Perhaps a Large Spice Jar
Oh I forgot to mention that the little gold label on my pot had 'Country Fair' printed in red as a line across the centre but it is now faded to a faint gold.

Here is mine marked 1275 on bottom. Slightly taller 10cm to top of cork with a longer neck and with a gorgeous dribble of turquoise in the glaze near the neck. With original corks that are also taller. (Ev will post an image for me Thks)

I have 10 small ones of these and a larger one with the bakers head turned the other way. All have corks. How do I upload a pic?
