Shape 401 Dish
This dish differs from the photo from the Museum. It is however clearly marked 401 and has a Ascot back stamp. This would seem to fit better with the other pieces in the early 400 range.

Re: Shape 401 Dish
Wow!! This is exciting!!
I'm going to alert HeatherT who has copies of the Museum notes on the Crown Lynn Shapes to see if she can find anything out about your three shapes.
Personally I think this piece is a winner

Re: Shape 401 Dish
My notes say definately a flower pot and there is a sketch with the last numeral missing which is said flower pot..
Was Ascot a British brand as well? I am flummoxed...

Re: Shape 401 Dish
Perhaps it's another one of those reused numbers?
The Ascot stamp is definitely Crown Lynn.
I think I will add it to the Shapes Gallery and leave the Flower Pot there as well,
Why?
Because of the backstamp...
the similar style of nearby shapes ....
and the way the numbers match my 410.
