I haven't seen that one before ....
Crown Lynn imitated Carlton Ware's range in this design.

No I can now state that it is not CL Fayrefrom.
When I first posted there was no mark or backstamp just a sort of smear in the centre of the back . No other mark.
We have been using it as a butter dish or rather a butter substitute dish since then and as I was drying it by hand yesterday I noticed it now did have a mark?
Lo and behold "Made in Japan" . I suspect someone had applied a cover label or the like to hide this mark but the dishwasher has uncovered their little secret.
Fascinating.
