Can anyone tell me what and where these might come from.

I have looked at your second jug a few times now and Temuka springs to mind.
Unforunately the Otago Museum who have a vast collection of Temuka ... their website is under construction which means I can't check out their photos.
Will try Te Papa next.

The Temuka jug on this site looks like a shape match to me ....
scroll down to about three quarters of the page .... 140mm high and another at 130mm .... good luck
