two tone apollo cup
I haven't come across one of these before - chocolate outside and a kind of butterscotchy interior - tasty! Would this have belonged with a particular dinner set?

Yes, it will belong to a specific dinnerset - which one remains a mystery ......
Re: two tone apollo cup
I have seen these sold with dark honey glow dinner sets where the plate colour matched the interior.

Re: two tone apollo cup
The honeyglow plates show up a lot on trademe but people often list them as just Crown Lynn plate so can be hard to find. There are few on there at the moment though. It is attractive, kind of warm and homely.
Speaking of broken plates... I think it is great when you break them and can use them for a mosaic etc. I have even seen people make pieces of iconic patterns into brooches and rings. However, I have seen more and more deliberately butchered plates in cool hard to get patterns lately unfortunately. Including made into clocks, patterns cut out of them and made into plate stands (and not well in some cases). A real shame!
