can anyone shed some light on this monogram?
I got this sad looking plate when I was in Wellington for the exhibition last year, but only just got around to taking a photo... The gold edging has all but worn off. Fifth Avenue 246 a gold transfer, (I think)

We had a 246 in Auckland, but it was in Queen St.

There's a entry via the National Library's findNZarticles search described as:
"Untitled
Date: 1 December 1967
View and description of Fifth Avenue, the new fourth floor at the 246 Shopping centre, Queen street.
Includes illustration.
Source: Auckland scrapbook, p 103
From: Auckland Libraries"
Maybe a cafe or fashion floor with a New York state of mind?
